Meet Our Officers Farida Buyuran (Cont’d) Farida’s continual interest in learning about new cultures and her fluency in 6 languages including French and Spanish make it easier for us to communicate to our counterparts from different parts of the world. Prior to joining AAWA Farida worked for Azerbaijan International Magazine both in Baku and Los Angeles locations, translating and editing other magazine material as well as conducting independent research, interviews, and authoring her own articles. She further developed her translator/interpreter career with a number of other companies in Baku until she moved to the US in 2002.
