AZERBAIJANI AMERICAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

The Azerbaijani American Women's Association (AAWA), established in 2006 is a non-profit organization with its headquarters in California, USA. AAWA is dedicated to identifying and addressing the issues concerning Azerbaijani American women as well as women in Azerbaijan, to increasing awareness of Azerbaijan and its current issues in American society, to preserving our cultural heritage, and to carrying out philanthropic activities that would benefit both Azerbaijani women in the U.S. and in Azerbaijan.

We also work towards strengthening the bonds between our and various other women’s organizations in the U.S. in order to enhance intercultural understanding as well as share the expertise and experience.

We take pride in being an organization created by women for women with a wide range of issues included in the realm of our concern.
